Cooler Master Storm Trooper Case Review

The Cooler Master gamers department aka Storm send us one of it's latest creations : The Trooper case. We were impressed with the Enforcer case, being manufactured in typical Cooler Master style. Excellent craftsmanship, no rough edges at all. Packed with innovative design features like the removable Hard Drive cage. Excellent cooling out of the box and loads of room to upgrade. An ideal gamers case, as even with all the features it retailed at a price that was still very affordable. The Trooper case continues on the same pace. This time being a full tower design, it might have some extra cards down it's sleeve. Could it make your PC stand out from the crowd at your favorite LAN party ? No dull brown cardboard boxes for any of the high end Coolermaster cases. A flashy nicely detailed box will immediately allow the shopper to spot the features and looks of the case.




At first the glance it looks like another of them futuristic transformer alike black cases. Though if you look closer, the amount of detail is astonishing. Everything is so well engineered, eg even the mesh grill design on the sidepanels is crafted at different angles. But first some more shots of the packaging. As you probably spotted the delivery guys have again not been very subtile. Luckily the case was unharmed and came out in mint condition.




The case would blend in well in some dark Alien decor. Matt black finish coating. The top part is made out of some rubber product. Seems very durable and is far more scratch resistant then plastic. You can directly spot the firm hand grip to facilitate carrying your case.




The sidepanels have their own ventilation holes, protected/covered by a mesh grill. The front side has got quick access 3 1/2 inch covers. No screwing, nor pulling of the entire front panel. Just pull off the ones you need. The rear part sporting the big 140mm 1200rpm fan, 3 rubber protected holes. Unlike the Xigmatek elysium case, you can only mount the PSU at the bottom.
