Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2010-10-29

A Closer Look

Besides the mouse, in the package we can also find the rest of the bundle, which consists of a little container with weights and documentation:

The little black envelope has a nice ROCCAT logo on the front:

Inside it, we can find a ROCCAT registration card with an unique number, a Quick Installation Guide and the ROCCAT Kone+ CD with the drivers and extras:

The Quick Installation Guide explains us the main features of the mouse like Easyshift, possibility to use macros, but also instructions on how to install the mouse, in multiple languages:

The weight container is very small and made entirely from plastic and has the ROCCAT logo embossed on top:

Inside it, we can find 4 weights, all the same size:

The weights look like some little black pills, and have their value inscribed on the top:

The ROCCAT Kone+ retains the aspect of the older revisions:

On its back, we have now a nice ROCCAT logo; on the old revision, we had a smaller, circle-shaped illuminated logo:

With the Roccat Kone v1 mouse, one of the things I found very unsatisfying is the fact that the coloured lights did not flow smoothly into one another, and instead only blinked to change. I'm wondering if that's still the case with this revision of the mouse?

With this latest revision, the color flow seems very smooth, so I guess the problem is solved.
