Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2010-10-29

A Closer Look Continued

On the right side of the mouse, we can see the ergonomically shaped body, with no extra buttons:

On the left side, we can see two of the programmable buttons, and another ROCCAT Kone+ logo:

Besides the buttons with + and – which are initially programmed to cycle through the DPI levels, we can see a revised scroll wheel which can also move sideways and another programmable button in front:

On the bottom of the mouse, we can see other information like the product serial number, where it was designed and manufactured or its code name:

In the corners, we can find the mouse Teflon feet, which help it glide smoother:

In the center, we can find the T[DCU] unit, along with the Pro-Aim Sensor R2, with an extreme precision of 6000DPI; on the old revision, the TCU unit was placed separately:

The plastic cap on the bottom of the mouse must be rotated in the indicated direction to open it:

After the cap removal, we can see the places where we can mount the weights:

The USB Connector has an interesting shape and has the ROCCAT Kone+ logo on one of the sides:

With the Roccat Kone v1 mouse, one of the things I found very unsatisfying is the fact that the coloured lights did not flow smoothly into one another, and instead only blinked to change. I'm wondering if that's still the case with this revision of the mouse?

With this latest revision, the color flow seems very smooth, so I guess the problem is solved.
