Okay thx for your help, the reason I asked if its playable all on high is because i've seen people with the 8500GT, and were able to max everything out on COD4 and barely get any lag at 1024x768

it's possible, COD4 engine is very "easy" on hardware compared to other recent titles like Crysis :)

With 8600GT I could run COD4 at High Detail 1280x1024

so 8500GT should be able to handle +/- same FPS at 1024x768

8500GT running COD4: http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...&articID=6 42

COD 1/2 should be no problem.

ah cool:) 57 average FPS, you can take it to the HIGH setting:)

check the link Geoffrey posted;) http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...&articID=6 42
avg 57 is with medium setting, so high setting will be between 35-50 most likely

Ahh, then with some overclocking... It should be all good!

jmke 17th April 2008 16:13

for sure, just look at that XFX edition sour at 91 FPS:)

that's an older board for sure, onboard 6 series VGA will not be worth much in today's games
