A DDR3 roundup on both X38,X48 and if possible 790I would be cool :)
To see the differences in games, applics and ofcourse termse of overclocking.

We do have a DDR3 roundup coming up: http://www.madshrimps.be/vbulletin/f...-coming-43429/

Test on every available chipset would require lot's of time and I don't know if the reviewer has all these boards available for tests. Massman has been testing different boards too, in terms of overclocking he might come up with quite an interesting review/article :)

Time shouldn't be a problem right every review requires time already.

The affects in current benches would be cool already ^^

Writing articles and reviews is still our hobby, not our job, we have another job and off course a family to care about :) Our articles require a lot of dedication and free time, don't underestimate that. We can do a DDR3 roundup, we can do a motherboard roundup, heck, we can make roundup of about anything, but both at the same time will get the reviewer busy for few months, that's efficiency close to 0. With only few active reviewers we can't afford this at the moment.

Everything helps though, anybody out there who thinks he has written something interesting, a product review maybe, may contact John and if all goes well your stuff might hit our main site.

EDIT: you do remember our articles which state that the performance of current memory modules don't add too much up to the total system performance: http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&articID=472

the question is to find motherboard capable of the speeds DDR3 is offering, no board runs at 1800Mhz yet memory exists, but its easier said then done to find a mobo that does the job

Review This Geforce 8500GT

Can you guys review this Geforce 8500GT

MSI NX8500GT-TD256E OC GeForce 8500GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail,

I would like it to be tested with COD4 most likely, Thx guys!

The Card is on Newegg. Sorry can't give link the site won't let me

jmke 16th April 2008 12:36

8500GT DDR3 will run COD4 at 1024x768 medium details at "ok" framerate; the OC version will give you slightly higher performance. but not much.
While I did no test COD4, I know Oblivion is harder on GFX then COD4, if it can run Oblivion, it can run COD4;)

do note that the 9500GT is close to launch it will be at price <$80 for sure, and offer better performance then 8500GT and 8600GTS(most likely)

w1ng3dkn1ght 16th April 2008 17:06

Oh okay, so COD4 on All High Settings should run okay also? at 1024x768. Also when do the 9500GT's Come out?

jmke 16th April 2008 17:07

You can try HQ but suggest Medium Quality;
no release date yet for 9500 GT... summer time most likely
