Yeah well, i odn't plan on using the onboard for gaming lol, im gonna use a Pci-e card, but i have heard that this motherboard overclocks likea pro, even with onboard video, and some boards with IGP won't clock well, well this one proves wrong

jmke 18th April 2008 08:29

I have zero experience with AM2 motherboards, sorry :(
since July 2006 it's been Intel S775 for me and the older S754 from AMD

Rutar 20th June 2008 11:09

I really want a review of the Arctic-Freezer Extreme heatsink. Considering its a big 120mm tower heatsink at 30€, it should be able to take the value crown for Quadcore Cooling

jmke 20th June 2008 11:14

in time:) got a few CPU coolers to test first;)

If 140 is just too small.

jmke 7th March 2009 08:39

they missed the Scythe "Ninja Wire" that hooks up the the case to keep this cooler in place;) better pics in our article on Cebit :)

geoffrey 8th March 2009 09:34

Didn't wee see such fan at Cebit 2008 already?

jmke 8th March 2009 10:03

this one is not 250mm but 200mm fan, also different heatsink;)

May I request a review of Titan Fenrir.
Both CPC magazine and this website rate it as the top CPU Air cooler.

jmke 31st May 2009 09:10

request was send out few weeks ago :)

Faiakes 31st May 2009 13:00

Ahead of the game, ha? Eeeeeeeeeeexcelent! :excellent:

damian 6th June 2009 04:57

How about some Phenom II X2 550 action |D

Massman 6th June 2009 06:35

Good question, I'll ask a local contact :-)

damian 6th June 2009 09:24

They certainly are fun to overclock. I was able to get up to 3.6Ghz 1.3V only to get problems anything past that. I'm actually benching right now (taking a break) and am 3.9Ghz with 1.45V. On air, with a low end ASrock 780g board.

Massman 6th June 2009 09:24

I've seen people unlock those X2 -> X4 :D

skulstation 6th June 2009 12:08

boost 14th October 2009 12:07

EVGA P55 mainboard escpecially OC potential.

jmke 14th October 2009 12:36

Hey Boost; we haven't had much luck with our EU based eVGA contacts, we'll try our best to make it happen; I'm sure our world renowned OC champ, Massman, has no objection testing the P55 of eVGA :)

Massman 14th October 2009 13:51

Only if I can get one for a longer period than the normal testing time. I want to test boards thoroughly :)

leeghoofd 14th October 2009 18:32

Micahel from Alternate told me he would do his best to get us an eVGA sample if needed John

jmke 14th October 2009 18:43

that's good news:)
MM will be able to tell Michael is testing time frame better than /me

Rutar 15th November 2009 10:00

I have a special request for future fan reviews:

http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...&articID=8 92

If you look at the test results of the Sharkoon and the Globalwin, we the difference between casefan performance and HS performance is showing. So essentially both setups are required for achieving a conclusive result which is the best HS fan and which is the best casefan.

Wumpus 19th July 2010 21:31

I would like to see the i5 760 under LN2! :)

32nm FTW

Stefan Mileschin 20th July 2010 13:28

The CPU is still 45nm:

Justchill 23rd August 2010 10:02

Something I would like to see here is a : best buy guide

for like:

- internet PC
- game PC
- HTPC
- OC PC
- laptop
- netbook

... What do you think?

jmke 23rd August 2010 10:13

to make a guide based on facts rather than opinion we'd have to compare tons of hardware and even then we're still making choices you might not make ;)

leeghoofd 23rd August 2010 10:38

Maybe we can do a half/yearly user survey ?

Cheap water blocks

There are a bunch of different cheap chinese waterblocks starting to show up. There isnt much out there, but it would be OssuM to see a review of a few.

examples:

ebay: 190978906295

ebay: 171068245704

ebay: 310666586306

ebay: 390678703676

and maybe not the downright cheapest but still cheap Aliexpress DOT COM has a whole line up of chinese made watercooling products for really low prices.

Interesting alternative or cheap useless and dangerous? Review worthy? Yes please!:woot:

leeghoofd 18th February 2014 19:13

They don't ship to Belgium, so pretty hard to get hold of a sample :)
