The noise is for everybode different.

As I work on only pasive cooled systems - or almost passive (ibook, HP NC4010, barbonde with modded PSU and close to passive CPU cooling etc). I just hear everything.

I've been using these paired 40mm fans (CVA-44) for over a year and can't hear them run unless I put my ear next to them.

I think I've tried about every possible configuration too; mounted on the ChillVent, one on the NB and one on the GPU, glued to the side of the ChillVent, some of the above and all of the above.

Even with 6 of the little buggars running, the noise was inaudible.

"2) Noise depends on the last time one went for a hearing test..."

I'm old too...but I can sure hear my psu or an 80mm running at +5vdc. Just can't hear the little 40's running.

AS I said i did read the article.

Why not making a version independent of the Chill Vent, as I described it?

Ok forget about the fans then.

How about some funky leds options then?

Under consideration - in fact, there is another design which could be produced in short time. Needless to say, I have done the testing in prototype and it did not change the result much at all.

How doing one with 2x80mm TC3 fans from Arctic cooling?

Sidney 8th June 2005 04:36

Another cooling solution - low cost + portable + no installation require + no need for CPU fan + no case fans :drink:

There is a larger version in case it is insufficient for your need with less noise from lower RPM :)
