airflow rating = 0.5 / 10
:D

ModdiN MansoN 12th March 2003 18:14

looks: 0,05 / 10 :s
efficiency: 11/10 ? :D

notice where the fans are.. that's right. front/rear/top
IDE cables go by.. the side

airflow => 8/10 =)
cpu temp= 42°C

each 120gb is on its own Channel giving max. performance
copying files from network + gaming is perfectly possible without slowdown.. excellent M² material :super:

lots of space

superflower psu with 3 fans ? also :super:
can you see what the hd temps are ? ( possible with speedfan : http://www.almico.com/speedfan408.exe )

8 mb cache is worth the 18 euro's

10k hd = noise, better wait for second generation sata.
But if you need a disk, buy it now, 80 GB will keep you happy for a long time.

If your low on cash you can still buy a second hand drive.

I have 2x 120gb-2mb versions of the DiamondMax Plus 9, they are used for storage and fast as hell

only consider the 8mb cache if you tend to use it as a system drive or to install games onto it.

if you want a place to store home made movies or music, then the 8mb cache version wont be worth the extra money.

true

even 5400 rpm drives are good enough if only used for storage.

Main aspects you should consider for drives used as storage is price/gb, noise & reliability.
