Strange, it took me only a month this time to gain a thousand points. Yet I'm folding for months and just have passed the 4k :grum: Anyway, I hope I can keep up this pace because with only one rig folding it's a long way up :) |
lol, juist gezien dat als ge uw systeem vergrendeld in win2K, f@h geen resources meer krijgt |
alsem op standby staat ook niet :/ |
Install folding as a service; locked or standby or other user, ... it will keep on folding & folding. go get some : http://www.firedaemon.com/ |
I'm using firedaemon |
als em op standby staat is pc zo goed als UIT. dus f@h zal dan niet werken. |
? What's the difference between standby & hibernation ? |
hibernation = complete power shutdown, you can remove the power plug et al. standy = 80+% power usage reduction, as the system goes to "sleep" and uses less power. if you plug the plug when in standby you will have to restart from scratch the next time you boot. |
yes and in hibernation the data from your ram gets written to your harddisk and you will boot much faster, you can configure win that when you press the boot button the computer goes into hibernation greezt |
:feesten:  25k  :feesten: |
well, i kicked win2K off the system. winXP supports dual cpu's better imo (you can manually alter the affinity) |
1. Sarc @ 2k Woo Yay! 2. The newly acquired computar machien (photo attached) will be folding yes! Dual P3 866 on cuv4x-d (I ain't kidding, VIA apollo 694x is, albeit it's poor mem performance, my favourite chipset to this day) |

Passed 5K on sunday |
Must say that I also had some probs, tried to setup 2 computers at work without internet, so I take the WU back home a lot of them are not counted in the results, they are send succesfully but I don't get point for them. |
you have to make sure you don't exceed the deadline, each WU has a deadline of xx hours If I'm not mistaken |
ofcourse, but there a maximum 3 a 4 days between getting the WU en returning it. |
depends on what WU.. there is a list @ Stanford |
6K :o |
darn !! lost two 500 frame WU's over the last 72 hours, both nearing completion ... |

good question ... sometimes losing WU's is a consequence of an overclock that's not 100% stable ... but since my rig has passed every damn test i could find on these settings, i'm in serious doubt this is the case here ... i'm working with heavy-load apps at the moment, maybe those are triggering this? wouldn't know what else ... |

you do know that one Duron 1.6@2+ghz outperforms this setup with ease ;) |
