| Wikimedia Is Liable For Contents of Wikipedia Articles This seems like common sense doesn't it? Why would they not be liable for the content on Wikipedia? The Wikimedia Foundation is liable for the contents of Wikipedia articles but does not have to fact check the contents before they are published. Articles on Wikipedia are written and altered by third parties and not checked by Wikimedia, which owns the site.
