enginelistening : a hobby for the geeks of the future! |
that was a quote taken from the sounddepartment of the article; this sums it up quite nicely and accurately " it's pretty obvious that for making a game the Source Engine is the obvious pick. If I wanted to make a graphics demo or even a CG movie I would probably pick the Doom 3 Engine. " |
yeah but i question the logic of someone who writes an article like this while he clearly doesnt own the game and hasnt played it much even if he favours the game in question . Its like writing a matchreview after you went to the pub with a m8 who just got back from the stadion :s |

second hand info? afaik both technologies have been openly described by the makers, their capabilities, weakness and strong points:) |

Thats my only point , i dont even care if the guy is right or wrong . You dont write reviews of hardware only by compiling info on it from the net . Same thing imo . |

he's not basing this article on opinions but on technical FACTS from each engine... |

could it be possible that a programmer be able to deduct the capabilities of a graphics engine by looking at its specifications? could be that you can buy a car and know the difference between a sportcar and a family sedan just by looking at the specs? could it be that he states that this is not a game D3 vs HL2 comparison? could this all make sense. jeezus. |
SuperCalc; Lotus; Excel Engines .... You can write an extensive Macro to cover the entire accounting process covering A/P; A/R; Payroll; Balance Sheet etc .... But Lotus engine would enable a more fluid Macro (less fuss) for Manufacturing Planning Process PLUS accounting. Bases for this - Code/logic provisions. |
thank you. :) |
