| The SIM Card is About to Die Apple has just sounded the death knell for the ubiquitous SIM card. The company is beginning the switch to a reprogrammable SIM that will enable a change in carriers and networks with a simple software tweak. History indicates where Apple goes, other manufacturers will usually follow. The wounds are mortal. Within a year or two, you'll probably never see a SIM card in an Apple product again. http://www.hardocp.com/news/2014/10/..._about_to_die/ |
