 |  Samsung officially unveils the 990 PRO SSD Hitting sequential read of 7,450MB/s on PCIe 4.0 Samsung has officially announced its latest 990 Pro SSD, an M.2 (2280) SSD based on Samsung V-NAND 3-bit TLC NAND, in-house controller, and PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 2.0 interface. The new Samsung 990 Pro promises up to a 55% improvement in random performance as well as up to 50 percent better power efficiency, both compared to the 980 Pro.
