| PCI SIG Set to Standardize 300W PCIe 1.1 Graphics Cards Power consumption of up-to-date graphics cards have risen from around 60W to about 160W in the last three years and it is highly likely that this trend will continue. Even though PCI Express 2.0 is set to overcome the current power consumption limits, PCI special interest group (PCI SIG) is working on a standard for add-on cards that fit into current platforms, but consume up to 300W. http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/d...522115634.html
