If you only got a single 30A 12V rail and want to go quadcore + OC, the GPU can't draw as much power as the GTX.

Now hopefully they don't drop driver support for there 8800gtx like they did the 7950.

Those r indeed impressive specs :woot:

And I agree with some of the previous users. This really does look like 'Core 2 vs. The Slow One' |D
:excellent:

Good damn... And I just, few minutes ago, purchased a 8800 GTX
But then again.. 5 months to wait is too long  My current card is an ATI X700, that I borrowed from a friend.

Oh.. about those prices... will 9800 GTX really cost that much from the start? I paid 638$ for my 8800 GTX today. And that was the lowest price I could find. A Sprakle version of GTX.

Well.. I know stuff in US is cheaper (usually), but I live in Europe.. in Estonia, where upgrading/building a PC is very painful, coz we have high prices and manufacturers to choose from is very very limited :(

In Estonia 638$ 8800GTX is the cheapest atm.

jmke 6th August 2007 11:01

ah, didn't know you lived in EU, check alternate.de for nice prices:)

€444

Well.. that's a lil closer but I assume it's a german store and Germany is few countrys west from us... So add transportation fees and u get pretty much the same price I paid for my not-yet-delivered-8800GTX ;-)

Any info on some cheap Latvian, Russian, finnish site? These r our direct neighbours. I can find some finnish sites, but stuff on those sites costs more then it does here in Estonia :S
