 |  Microsoft tinkers with Windows for AMD AI Preparing Task Manager for the AI onslaught Software King of the World, Microsoft seems to be gearing up for the inevitable rise of hardware-accelerated local AI tools and is tinkering with Windows software to play nice with AMD’s AI chips. AMD has thrown its hat into the ring, announcing its collaboration with Vole to integrate support for its latest neural processing units (NPUs) into Windows.
