Default Intel spins off new AI firm

Backed by DigitalBridge Group money

Intel says it is spinning off a new firm around its AI software work with cash from digital-focused money manager DigitalBridge Group and other backers.

Intel bosses would not say how much the deal was worth or if it would keep a significant share in the new venture other than to say the firm would have an independent board of its bosses and the chipmaker would stay a shareholder.

The new company, which will not be on the stock market and will be called Articul8 AI ("Articulate AI"), is a result of work on business AI tech that Intel first did with Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
