Default Geforce 9800 GX2 listed for $598.41

At least one store has jumped the gun and pre-announced Geforce 9800GX2. It is the PNY 9800 GX2 card with 1GB of DDR3 memory, or should we say 2x512MB of memory.

The shop expects its first cards to arrive on the 22nd and we heard that it will launch on the March 18th. The card just 59 cents shorter than the $599 suggested etail price, so this might be the cheapest card around.

let's hope this card means business, because I''d really like to have a new high end card... last one I bought was 7900gtx

and what's more, I'm getting bored in not being able to play crysis as it should be played.

Doc, don't get your hopes up, this card is no better than 9800Ultra SLI; and Crysis doesn't like SLI, so this card will not be a Crysis-beater

Grab a 8800GTX for cheap and voltmod it, that's about the best way to get super performance out of one card at this moment, although that it may not help you in playing Crysis, it's way to heavy for current videocards.
