Might have misled investors

The Fruity Cargo Cult Apple is in hot water with the SEC over its non-disclosure agreement culture.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is looking into Apple's use of nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), including whether the tech giant misled investors on the matter.

The move follows the action of a whistle blower and documents reviewed by The Technology 202.

Cher Scarlett, a former Apple employee who last year filed an SEC complaint alleging the company made false statements to the agency about its policies on NDAs.

Scarlett said the SEC contacted her in late January to inquire about her allegations.

The SEC is saying nothing about the investigation saying that it was policy not to do so, but it is the first indication that federal regulators are digging deeper into Apple's policies on NDAs, which the company said it doesn't allow -- a fact that workers like Scarlett have disputed.
