yup, same here. I don't have mine as long as Richbastard but there's a lot of hardware hooked up atm and it keeps it's rails very well. The 12 and 3.3 V rails never drop below spec and the 5V rail only once dropped below 4.9 and usually ranges arround 4.95V |
I hope u guys are right Does the 550W have sensewires and does it run hot? |
2*no |
my q-tec 550 sucked, and apparently there are two versions, q-tec550 and 550 PFC, mine did not say pfc and it sucked, pfc version should be more stable and costs the same, I also found it to be a very noisy psu :grum: |
Aah yes, it's indeed noisy, BUT they're nevertheless equipped with highquality fqns. Mine have been working at 5V for 18months, and they're absolutely noiseless (only fans in via epia system) and don't suffer from the too low operating voltage. In contrary to expensive Papst fans they don't start to 'purr' after a few months running below minimal recommended operating voltage (7V). |
I had that happen to a coolink fan when running @ low voltage :-/ |
550W for a epia? just how many hdd do u have? |
The Qtec 550W was the only regular PSU i had at the time i bought the epia system... and it was the most silent one too (with fans running at 5V), so it seemed like a logical choice. : ) Actually, the 550W qtec had no problems powering the epia system (~75W) fanless. |
calantak how is that levicom psu ? |
