Nope.

Gforce 6 series are outdated.
1gb of memory is old school
Pentium Ds are old news since the Cores came out.

But a workable PC none the less :)

for ~$1000 that doesn't seem to be a very state of the art computer :/
800 gigs on 10000 RPM 16MB buffer is not enough???
and i will add some cooling to it in like a month

Crazy_Parsy 3rd September 2006 10:10

the inlights just broke....lol

jmke 3rd September 2006 11:51

Core 2 Duo is not quad:)

wutske 3rd September 2006 12:40

indeed, it does use some outdate technology, but it'll prolly be pretty fast anyway (ow, and it will suck up quite some energy too :^D ).

How are you going to configure those disks ? RAID5 would be best, but for good write speeds you'd have to buy a decent RAID card.
RAID 0+1 seems the most safe and fast solution, but you'll be left with 'only' 400 fast Gb's :^D .

Or are you just going to use them apart (or in a JBOD config ?)

The Senile Doctor 3rd September 2006 12:44

calm down.

jmke 3rd September 2006 14:28

it's not a bug, IMG code in sig is disabled for a reason:)

Nessmaster 3rd September 2006 14:28

What do you plan on using 800 gigs for?

Berry 3rd September 2006 15:19

Those disks, and that volume, is ment for PRON.

(Or @ least in my system it would be):^D
