8rda3+ is better, it has that extra 12V connector so it will be more stable at high FSB and it had Sata |
Ah, k, one more question, does it have the soundstorm chip on it? Can't make that out on the epox site... Or is the soundchip used on this mainboard equal in quallity compared to the soundstorm? :) AND are these onboard sound solutions better then a 5.1 live soundcard? :) |
it's only a MCP- southbridge (no MCP-T) meanig you don't have the supreme soundstorm-APU . i don't know if the soundchip on this one is any good. mind, it doesn't have a Dolby Digital 5.1 Encoder |
It's a standard C-media type soundchip. Thus, pretty CPU hogging. You got the extra 12V, but the few CPU cycles you can gain with that are happily wasted by the onboard sound compated to the vanilla 8rda+ Chances are however that a MCP-T version might come out. A photograph of the bord in the manual is with MCP-T southbridge. And yes it's the SATA-dual lan, 8RDA3+ and not a picture of the 8rda+. |
