a) I also want a dual CP setup, isn't there a cheaper priced motherboard ?

b) is it possible to use durons in a dual setup ? muchos cheaper

a) nope, the AMD chipset is pricy it seems, all boards are ~200
b) mod Duron -> XP, XP -> MP

The K7d Master is the cheapest dual mobo i found.

the USB 2.0 support is flawed, and the technology has been improved upon tremendously. DDR400, bartons, ...
OC capacity is pretty limited, there are people that have been trying it's limits however.

It's just an old chipset. A very old chipet at that.

bought me a 2nd hand Abit KX7, 2 budget systems will be more usefull in the end :)
