3ghz 800FSB P4 is here |
dunno if I need this stuff... it's at 200 fsb my ram maxes out at 225 that means, I can get to 3375... I work at 3500 with my 3.06 now... we need better ram for this to function... ram that does 260 is a minimum... ram will bottleneck, these are antioverclocker cpu's |
hmm all the canterwood reviews leave me with some questions... there aren't any dividers on the ram However you can run fixed ram speeds like 266-333-400... or am I wrong. Meaning if you have a 3.0-200 you run it at 200dcddr however if youd ecide to overclock it, your ram will be the problem. however hardocp runs their 3.0 at 3.6 using watercooling (which is a pretty normal result, seeing I can run 3.5 on air from my 3.06) however, their fsb is 245 at that moment, which is fairly normal too...using a multi of 15 ;) but their ram is at 392 at that time... how is this possible??? I've read you can run the 533 cpu's at dcddr 400 too but doesn't that mean your ram will bump up to 210 when you up the fsb to 150? of is it fixed? does anybody know? |
someone know anything round here?? ;) |
no this is a place of questions, but no answers maybe it has to do with the fact that only 2 out of 555 members can afford a P4 3ghz :p |
and xtremesystems is down... |
we're going offtopic again ;) hope it aint for long though. www.xtremesystems.org (their downtime that is) |
Again? blah I'm going to read up about P4 200FSB tomorrow, i hope I'll can clearify your answer by then. |
they are back up 200FSB for now looks to be 5-15% increase over the 133Mhz versions. |
I'll first check what that GB mobo does, no canterwood or PIV 800 needed for the moment. Benchmarks suck, expected more. |
that's why I never got on that gb mobo... I'm very eager to see if I can async that ram positively... |
didn't get it yet :) Ill see what your baby (2.66) can do on it when I receive it. PIV 3.06 is sold out, must wait at least a week :( |
you happy sport :) you MUST wait three weeks!!!! the price wil go down over 100 euro's on the 3.06!!!!! I've just ordered canterwood asus board! I'll have it next week |
Quote:
Won't it peform badly with your low-fsb P4 3.06ghz? |
package is lost I think, it's in Belgium, but nobody knows where it is ??? order PIV 3.06 canceld. |
?? Calantak's package? |
no, mine Bought it by K&M elektronik, it was send to me on 10/04 and arrived in belgium on 11/04 (checked German post). and now its lost :( |
damn :/ was it insured? |
Quote:
Belgian post doesn't like german packages ??? |
it arrived in belgium? what where how? where do they send it? |
hmm that sucks however, if you haven't signed it... you simply don't pay for it... and canterwood/ p4 will be better now @ richyB : I'll check my 3.06 with the prommy on this asus canterwood, and I'll see how it performs... if it sux, I sell the 3.06 and go for a 3.0 gotta get me two raptors too... and a new rma-d 120 gb WD as data backup as I'm downing tons of movies :) |
let the shop fight it out with our sucky belgian mail "service" :) |

I phoned the German postoffice, they know it's in Belgium. They change the packagenumber when it arrives in Belgium ??? so, go figure how can they track it..... I'm not used to wait for something :) |
If you buy something outside Belgium, ask them to ship with UPS. Never got problems with UPS :) |
it's back at the shop, don't know what happend. pff, P4C800 here I come :p |
|
3.0 is underway for me, i should have it wednesday coupled with the asus p4c800 that's installed allready :) |
http://www.tomshardware.com/mainboar...429/index.html Our tests show that the old Intel 7205 chipset runs stably with a new P4 processor at an FSB clock of 200 MHz. This raises the question of what advantages the new high-end 875 chipset really has over the old 7205. Moreover, in the benchmarks, the two chipsets give about the same results. http://www.ocworkbench.com/2003/othe...4800/page1.htm Both processors, AMD Barton XP3000+ (400) and the Intel Pentium 4 3.0G (800) has excellent performance in various categories. In fact, in most of the tests, the P4 leads the way. Well, this can be due to a number of reasons like a better chipset which is optimised for HT and multimedia applications. |
Ein aktuelles Spiel mit DirectX8-Support ist Unreal Tournament 2003. Bei diesem Test fällt der SiS 658 hinter der Konkurrenz zurück. http://www6.tomshardware.com/mainboa...9/7204-06.html the reviewer switches languages during the article? :^D |
humming along prime95 at 230 fsb = 3450 mhz on aircooling |
Max aircooled? Or just playing a bit? |
testing primestability. it's been running 3 hours now, i still have lots of work to do, so i'll leave it on. If it's still running in sex hours, it's considered stable, it's priming, downing some movies, there's lots of big unrars started just now, and my nephew is playing some games on it. If it doesn't crash, I'll be pumping it up later this is at 1.6 actual volts |
waar het hart van vol is, loopt de mond van over. (sorry for the english guys, but this just had to be done in dutch) |

moehahahaha I need sex I need a prommy I need a carrera 4s need lots of stuff |
a spanking ? |
I can now attest to the fact that 3.6 ghz -240*15 is officially primestable at 1.57 volts |
he be spanking his brandnew HT enabled CPU would die to have one like that in my workstation at least that way the CPU would actually be used for its meant purpose, multitasking :p |
