respect :ws: those memory sticks look very sweet for the price:)

computersmsa 7th June 2005 21:22

Thanks :)

GIBSON 7th June 2005 21:40

how were you able to get a deal with one of those factories, and have the money to do that, at 18 years old? (just curious, really ambitious for your age :))

187(V)URD@ 7th June 2005 22:27

nice rams you got there m8.

But isn't the shop azerty.nl selling twinmos speed premium pc3500 (BH5) 512MB for 58€ :)

2 bad i don't have any money :D

computersmsa 8th June 2005 16:55

GIBSON -> Speak english, good project and rulezz :)

wutske 8th June 2005 19:24

wow, nice indeed. Actualy very young to start your own business.
Now, how do they perform at CAS2.5 and CAS3.0 ? Just wondering how they stand up againt TCCD.

Sharpside 8th June 2005 19:40

BH5 normaly does not run on cas 3.
cas 2,5 shouldn't give you much higher mhz than cas 2

computersmsa 8th June 2005 19:56

That's right !
CAS 2.5 -> MAYBE 1MHz in more than CAS2
CAS 3 -> No boot !

Laagvliegerke 9th June 2005 12:12

I have "old" CH-5 (not UTT that is) that clocks @ 245 MHz 2-2-2-5 at 3,2V. Not bad I think. But BH-5 should do better... So I'm interested.
But how about warranty??

jmke 9th June 2005 12:34

it goes through him apparantly

computersmsa 9th June 2005 16:00

Warranty -> You send me and I send at factory (Maybe I can make a echange).

Sidney 9th June 2005 16:07

Gone

computersmsa 10th June 2005 10:34

Only one little error for a night @ 265 MHz @ 3.6V :D

jmke 10th June 2005 11:00

ow :(

one error would mean PC stable for ~11 hours then crash.. :(

Nope, the error occured in pass 10. That was after a bit more then 3 hours. But the screenshot shows 11 hours of testing, that means that there were no errors during 8 hours after that error.
But I doubt the PC would crash.

I don't know if I'm going to buy this memory. I have my doubts because I'm afraid to use the 5V-jumper on my DFI nF4. I've seen many owners of the DFI nF4 that have dead memory modules now. The bord is somehow killing the memory when using Vmem above 3,3V :grum: :(

187(V)URD@ 10th June 2005 13:49

my single stick of bh5 does 260@3.18V but my other won't :p

computersmsa 11th June 2005 15:26

Good news, I will be refund of Fedex shipping cost (delivery after time), this and other things = Drom price !!

Kit 1Gb DDR400 CH-5 -> 109 € per KIT 1Gb !
Kit 1Gb DDR400 BH-5 -> 169 € per KIT 1Gb !

A) I don't think it's the board that does it, just the 5V
B) You're not surprised about this, are you. I mean, this stuff was made for 2.7V with a MAX of 3.3V.
Overclocking was and remains a risky affair. Don't blame the hardware if you screw it up.

teki 12th June 2005 18:29

Hmm, in general i don't like these kind of actions, life on the internet has made me a little sceptical.

But this looks like a really nice sale, with all the info and screens.

Since I need new ram anyway, and the ch5 is about the same price as stupid Twinmoss ram, it would be a waste not to buy the CH5 sticks.

Any real life user reference?

wutske 12th June 2005 18:43

It think that table is pretty much real life. It's bench stable, so drop a few mhz and that's what you might expect.

computersmsa 12th June 2005 20:37

teki -> Thanks for your order !
Ptit make 273 MHz 2-2-2-5 @ 3.7V now :)

Also about me, few Mad guys have buy Centon TCCD at me here : http://www.madshrimps.be/forums/show...threadid=14372
Without any problems !

teki 12th June 2005 20:55

Seems oke, placed my order, confirmation within 3 hours, payment done, if it gets here before friday i got some other customers :)

computersmsa 23rd June 2005 16:25

Little mistake
I have just check, I still have ONE Kit BH-5 ... the last before a big time
Price : 169 €

187(V)URD@ 23rd June 2005 17:13

I still don't thin that bh5 you sell isn't cheap, the UTT yes but not the BH5's.
Otherwise i bought some.

computersmsa 23rd June 2005 18:41

It's UTT CH-5 and UTT BH-5 ...
BH-5 is a old chip in 0.175΅m ;)
Very rare and expensive, if I can buy BH-5 for the price of CH-5, for use I will sell 100 Kits / days :)

The price is the price, for me and for you !

187(V)URD@ 23rd June 2005 20:40

I just bought Twinmos speed premium pc3500 with BH5 chips for 23€/piece :)
Can buy 512MB bh5 for 65/piece.

But I admire your effort and things you do, don't get me wrong.

But i must say your UTT-CH5 is cheap :)

computersmsa 24th June 2005 11:35

You are sure that Twinmos make BH-5 ?
I'm not sure, just look his price ... it's easy to write on website BH-5.
Twinmos PC3500 = 217 MHz 2.5-3-3 -> If it's really 0.175΅m chip, it's rejected chip from who ? Maybe with high voltage this rejected chip can make good overclocking ... but it's not good BH-5 tested @ 2-2-2-5 (10-15 % of rejected chip at factory).

Twinmos sell his SP 3500 at about 40 € / 512Mb at this distributor ... you must know that Winbond sell UTT BH-5 0.175΅m chip 32Mb at factory for about 3.5 $ per chip !!
16 chips for 512Mb -> 56$ (46€) => Explain me how Twinmos make real good BH-5 0.175΅m at 40 € ?

Also, compare a PC3500 2.5-3-3 on Jedec PCB and PC3200 2-2-2-5 on Brain Power 808 PCB, is not right ...
CMSAM is the same than Gskill GBGH, his price is about 190 €.

Thanks, yes UTT CH-5 is cheaper ... it's a 0.13΅m chip, Winbond sell it for little under 2.5$ / 32Mb at factory.
I don't get you wrong :) I just want make a good briefing :D

:hello::super:

187(V)URD@ 24th June 2005 12:25

Yep you can be right but I just ordered 2*512MB twinmoss BH5 (speedpremium) and i will see if they are good.
I got 2*256MB speedpremium pc3500 at home, tested on the orange slot far away from cpu (dfi nf4).

On 3.18V 1st stick does : 232MHZ
On 3.18V 2nd stick does: 245-247mhz

2bad they don't peform the same.

Got same situation on my kingston BH5.(also tested on orange slot far away from cpu)

On 3.18V 1st stick does : 255-257mhz
On 3.18V 2nd stick does: 240-242mhz

But yes your pcb is better :).
lets hope the 2*512MB do both 245mhz-250mhz :p

computersmsa 29th June 2005 12:35

Desistement -> 1 Kit BH-5 in stock -> 169 €
Still 23 Kits CH-5 in stock -> 99 €

2 Kits CH-5 -> 199 €in
3 Kits CH-5 -> 295 €in

vegeta 30th June 2005 13:48

Say 300+ :D

computersmsa 30th June 2005 17:19
