Default Removing Sapphire 9800Pro Heatsink

I have a dillemma. I'm told that I can just remove the stock heatsink on my 9800 Pro by simply "squeezing the bottom of the pins" of the heatsink and "just pop them out". But these pins seem to be really glued into the heatsink pin holes. Any ideas?

take pliers. the push-pins exist out of two small hooks, use your pliers to push these together. then they only peak a little bit out on the rear of the videocard, you can only see the tip of them

then you can remove the heatsink. it's possible you can't get it off right away because there's thermal paste between the core and the heatsink causing the past to "suck" the heatsink onto the video card
