twinmoss PC2700 with m-tec chips? I've bought two cheap twinmoss PC2700 256mb @forcom today to replace my expensive corsair xms 3200 sticks. I've heard of well overclocking twinmoss w/ samsung chips, and awesome overclocking with twinmoss w/ winbond, but i haven't seen m.tec chips yet. I suppose they're not good... has anyone tried to oc them yet? Markings: TTD7608F8E60B |
pc 2100 CL 2.5 here even doesn't do FSB 160@ max timings :puke: with most relaxed timings they go up to 187 FSB stable |
mtec chips? 187 relaxed timins is superb for PC2100. Can you give me the chip markings? |
Mtec chips are in my opinion the worst you can get Had me a couple 2100 and couldn't OC at all 133>143 was a max at very very lax timings |
Crap.... oh well, they're still cheap and 166Mhz isn't that bad. |
I just found out A-data PC3200 ram uses exact the same m.tec chips (TTD7608F8E60B), so there might me a good chance this will run at 200Mhz after all. :) They are rated 6ns though (166mhz), so i'm not really sure. |

Very hard to read, but it's a different chip. |
Elexir chips are the worst. they hardly even function at their default speeds. |

working at stock speeds would be nice. :p I'll test these m.tecs this weekend. :) |
*bump* i just plugged two twinmoss w/ mtech chips in my nex epox 8rda+ (rev 1.1) and they seem to be working well. Currently stressing at 195FSB (sync), 6-3-3 CL 2.5 2.61v dcddr Cas 2 seems to go up to 185FSB. Not bad for extremely cheap PC2700 CL2.5. :feesten: -edit- 200fsb sync seems to work fine too, but i seem to have the same chipset unstability as with my rev1.0 8rda+ board. 205fsb barely works, but due to chipset, not ram. |
crap, should have bought PC 2700's instead of 2100 :/ |
Twinmoss PC2100 is €2 cheaper, you must be :wtf: to not buy the PC2700. ;) |
when I bought it (a few months ago) the difference was 60€ I think |
