ROFL
Crash tests were conducted by repeatedly (3 times) dropping a case equipped with an MC462 heatsink from the roof of a second story building. The heatsink remained securely attached to the processor, and the processor didn't suffer any damage.

that air cooled pelt could be a solution :super:
80-120mm adapter and my 120mm fan will make an effective, less expensive solution :)

where is it available?

Eheim waterpump 1250 1200 l/h : 71€
Swiftech MCW462-BT (AMD) : 105€
HW Labs Black Ice II : 98€
2m tubing: 15€ ? Loveno don't have that apparantly

total: 289€
Watercooling + Pelt

Or..

Innovatek innovaSET 2 for 257€
http://www.3dxtreme.org/innovatekp3.shtml

but I think the Swiftech solution will cool ALOT better

@Bosw8er: air has it's limit and the aircooled pelt is only "ok" working @ idle :)

I want 40°C max load temps with a 2.0v vcore

I've got the king size version of the d-tek spir@l. Bad *** boy, one of the best commercially available waterblocks, but expensive and there was a 6 month queue one year ago.

The swiftech you mentioned is about to be replaced with a newer version wich is supposed to be 25% better. I wouldn't buy it...

Germany has some όber watercooling stuff, but most of the advertising we see is from US companies (dangerden, swiftech): more expensive (import), but not necessarely better.

Reviews: check google.

Black Ice II:
.be: 98
.de: 70

The radiator I mentioned is far better than the Black ice II, and cheaper.

edit:
XP2400+ @ 2550Mhz & 2V: 28°C :p

It does perform better but it's more for quiet-pc-building types like myself ... not for noisy-power-loving types.

RichBa5tard 28th December 2002 15:16

Still, I don't understand why one wants to buy expensive & overrated American watercoolingproducts, when you can get (better?) performing waterblocks in .de for half the price.

Bosw8er 28th December 2002 16:02

Do not misunderstand: Innovatek has been my favourite for a long time (no noise solution + performant). I would choose this one in stead of a swiftech solution.
But i cannot find a shop nearby selling their kits.

Why don't you post where you find all those nice things in germany ...

Dual heat transformer = BEST !

Had je die overschrijving niet naar de verkeerde rekening gestuurd? Zo ja, daar kan norskit toch niets aan doen?
