Hey Pat, nice rig, I love what you did with the water cooling, nice work...................;)

While I'm at it I might as well post up a pic or 2 of my old box.............;-)

Sidney 19th July 2007 16:24

@Bio-hazard, nice old rig. Couldn't remember where I saw this before, I know I did :)

jmke 19th July 2007 17:02

Yah, they were the case to have, that's when I got the thing, I've had this case for like 3 years or so now, don't think I'll ever switch to anything else for a long time to come...........:naughty:

HDDs and PSU have their own space.. that's a really nice case :)
That MB looks like a mATX though.. is that so? Looks like that there's no more room for a bigger MB.
Also.. That's the first BTX setup I've seen so far... looks pretty good :)
I'm planning to buy a Thermaltake Tai-Chi case some day. Tai-Chi has BTX conversion available too

piotke 7th August 2007 00:58

Seems like a normal ATX mainboard to me....

easypanic 7th August 2007 06:52

Indeed Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS.

It has all three PCI-E slots filled now, will update this evening ;).

sirius 7th August 2007 07:07

My bad.

What's in the third slot easypanic?

easypanic 7th August 2007 07:20

Nvidia 6200 for my second monitor :).

sirius 7th August 2007 07:23

?

You said all three PCI-E slots are full.. so u have all them filled with VGA cards?

easypanic 7th August 2007 08:13

Nope.

1: 7950GX2
2: Areca 1210 RAID card
3: 6200

:)

:S Is that possible in nVidia case  I know that in SLI configuration u have to run two identical cards but if not in SLI u can actually have two different nVidia cards?
aaaaaahh
Well.. getting smarter by the day :D

I know it's not the right topic... but any news on PhysiX card on PCI-E? Planning to buy Striker Extreme with 3 PCI-E slots... two of them will be occupied with 8800GTXs, but third one will stay empty... which is a waste of resources  And I don't feel the need for a RAID card either. Neither have I heard from a decent audio card with PCI-E socket.

To not to continue offtopic, please pm with the info :)

My second plexi case

Ok, it's been a while since i posted on this forum, mainly because i've been too busy building my new case :D

now it's done, so i wanted to share it with you:

This time, i made a worklog on my site (roke.be) since i got a lot of people asking me for one ;)

jmke 4th January 2008 22:07

nice custom build congrats!

Do hope that multitude of fans don't make the case too noisy

shadowfish 27th May 2008 10:15

The case looks nice, I like it so much~ but if you add a illuminate fan controller that'll be perfact i think!

TribalMind 12th August 2009 21:26

Tribals Mod's : Tribal Alien

I have build this case from PU (high density) foam, sculptured in the shape of an alien, with a hollow backspine, covered in polyester resin and sprayed in purple/green scarabee paint

Asus board with Sli and the watercoolingparts hidden in the hollow spine which acts like an air duct (room for 3 120x120 mm radis)

the drives are in the lower disc

sorry, i cant post pics yet....

and a shot from the rear, during construction with a dead mobo (Chaintech Ultra Zenith)

still not allowed

jmke 12th August 2009 21:59

try again, should work, love to see you case:)

TribalMind 12th August 2009 22:24

Tribals Cube

And this is case number two

a cube made of alu square tubes, with plates of lexan in it, 100 RGB Leds mounted and as an outer shield lexan with 0,5 mm lasecut alum

The led are controlled by an AVR microcontroller. The case is touch sensitive with 10 op amp circuits

Bays are cloaked and hidden in the (now) non lit areas
the will raise on touch (still ongoing)
the movement for this is done bij cd drive mechanics

haha :)

no need to sell annything ;)
Stil using my benchtable ;)

But the reason behind that ugly looking box is actually.
That I need a place to test passive aircoolers in a controlled area ^^
And that box is doing a great job at that :D

geoffrey 8th October 2010 15:50

Make note that 'a controlled area' does not match a conventional pc housing specifications, i.e. it does not represent a real-life situation as metal en aluminum housings have better cooling ability's as that paper box, they also have different acoustics and air-flow design.
