Go go go :) |
interesting mounting :) |
Why interesting? Card has been insulated completely, just checked if it still boots - and it did - LN2 will be for tomorrow. |
because it is an interesting approach for multvideocard compatibility :) |

uh... I get 188 FPS with MUCH slower system http://hwbot.org/signature.img?iid=276073&thumb=false |
Will explain later |
GPUtemp flipping out at 230°C;) |
No. As I mentioned before, the memory chips have have operating temperature of 0°C to 85°C. Outside this range, the memory chips are not guaranteed to work and that's exactly what happens. I can go to around -35°C without having the memory chips go nuts, but below that performance drops significantly. I've tried to keep the memory chips warm, but there are two really close to the LN2 container and I can keep those above 0°C. I will have to go through the datasheet again hoping to find a description of what happens during this freakout. My best guess would be that they operate at a very low frequency as I still have perfectly good 3D scenes. The memory goes completely bezerk below -100°C. At that temperature, I even have artifacts in 2D desktop. |
Some extra notes I made: - Beyond 1.5V there's barely any scaling; with this card (core), it is in fact all about the temperature as displayed in underneath scaling table: 1000MHz at -40°C 1100MHz at -60°C 1200MHz at -80°C 1300MHz at -100°C (stable for a dozen of seconds - mem temp issue) |
