1. good TEC aircooling a CPU is only possible with HUGE fans.
2. everything's possible :p

I think I will be seeing you in the next holiday.
I'm planning to buy the h600B, place a 120mm blowhole in the bottom like my hq08 now. The standard fangrills will have to be removed and replaced. And then I want a 120mm fan on my cpu.
We try a fanduct and otherwise a 120mm blowhole won't hurt I guess.

find a way to make a fanduckt so u can place a 120mm fan on your slk

u can use a broken 80mm fan to clip it on the base of the fanduct and then a 120mm on top (dont build to high)

using a airduct above the cpu so it sucktt cold air outside the case will give a difference as I imagine your case is rather warm

get the best thermal paste u can will help

I will try to make a fanduct this week. :)
My casetemp is very good imo, 23° with a roomtemp of 19°.

TeuS 7th March 2004 17:09

I'll take care of everything, don't worry ;)

where is the casetemp measured?

Vulk 7th March 2004 18:47

Good question, the standard monitor on the Asus A7nx-x I guess.

I have a slk7 cooler with regelbare 80mm cooler @ 2500RPM but i can't remember the name.

CPU AMD XP2400+@2200MHZ met 1.75V

Temp stressed = 42°C

greetz

Redneck fan duct = flexible dryer hose

worked for me. but turned out to be too much of a hassle, just having a 120mm papst @ 12v on top of a fairly quiet tt sf2 @ 3750 (with no grill) keeps me at a steady 51-56 depending on the ambient

yeah, i chucked the "stay below 45" motto way back after i cranked it to 1.7vcore and decided i value my ears

Vulk 10th March 2004 06:54

My cpu ain't stable above 54° when overclocked. ;)
But I guess I will place a 120mm blowhole above my cpu.

Hmz, I'm thinking of h2o-again.

This is what I would buy:

Watercool HTF2-Dual aperture
CCR 05 chipset watercooler Rev.3
InnovaGraph-O-Matic Rev 2
Zalman ZM-WB2 copper CPU waterblock

Eheim 1048 Centrifugal pump
AGB-O-Matic - for Eheim 1046/1048
Standard PVC tube 8x1
Standard PVC tube 8x1
