5th place in PCMark05 ranking of E8200 with CPU running at 3375mhz :D
nobody has a slower running CPU, the other 23 scores have CPU running at >4ghz!

nigel 28th March 2009 18:25

hmm
sow taking every voltage appart should show me where things go rong.
Its slow but if this is the way i can start overclocking again than is it shall be done :D

edit,
only boot lock i got sow far was when i touged my northbridge voltage...
ram is oc
cp also
not alot just enough sow i can see it :)

edit,
what the hell...
i can overclock no problems annymore except for the fact when i change the GTL voltages :s leaving them on AUTO works but is it safe???
and yet i am happy ^^ that asus overclock tool in windows did the trick :D

leeghoofd 28th March 2009 21:39

Nice job guyz !!! :nana:

And ofcourse, kick *** in Prague ;-D

piotke 28th March 2009 22:20

Seems like Ocaholic had some bad luck. Belgium kept stable. And Awardfabric disappointed a bit :)

whell: ocaholic had the best cpu, they could run 4.9ghz super PI and 3D.
but only 2sec away from them in the SPI contest becaus off ther great cpu, they did not really push the GPU lick massman and pt1t did. and they stopped running they where sure they would win, although u never are sure i sayed and it came to live :D.

awardfabric whas arne and stummerwinter (really great guy's) had about same cpu but did not compet whet the 3d mark on GPU clocks.
i have around 60min + video together with trouffman, also alot off pics. maybe il upload some tonight :p.

hope to get the articel done on monday or theursday!

greetz blind

OCaholic was Spllman and Besi (aka -20° containerguys), the guys with the great CPU hwere BT clocking ( cascade guys with the sad face :p )

OCaholic had main mobo issues, swapped a few times, but they kicked butt with the 3D session (mostly due to their refrigerator box). Team Belgium copied the idea by directing LN2 via first a plastic cup, then via the impregnated Noctua fan cooler ( see piccie of Blind ) and this idea, in turn, got copied by most teams...

Make sure you don't mix up the names Blindje !

wutske 29th March 2009 09:34

congrats guys, great job :ws:

thorgal 29th March 2009 10:19

Massman 4th April 2009 18:36

Seems like we definitly dropped to second page :-(

Gamer 4th April 2009 21:23

Getting a server setup here, not that much but maybe enough for some boints :
2 X xeon 5130/771/2ghz/4mb
16GB ram (will not make a difference :) )
1 Supermicro X7DCL
2 Phase change units fully working, could be usefull if I can overclock this motherboard.

What tests can I do with this setup ?

Input needed.

blind_ripper 4th April 2009 21:25

wprime, pcmark.

Gamer 4th April 2009 21:28

I can overclock this motherboard ?
Not in bios I think, maybe with a little proggy ?

Chiller 4th April 2009 21:37

maybe in windows with setfsb or clockgen.

do Wprime, superpi, cpuZ and pcmarks with that server.

Pinmods maybe?

Gamer 5th April 2009 00:32

It already has 1333 fsb, no pinmod possible.

thorgal 5th April 2009 07:41

Yes you can OC it, but not by much, limited by chipset and FB-dimms : you need good dimms to oc properly, probably the less memory the better. Talk to Powertotheusers - Johan, he knows all about it.

I had a supermicro once and OC'ed through Systool if I recall correctly, it should have a crystal for the supermicro listed, it's a while ago so I have to look it up.

There's also lots of info on 2cpu.com forums

Massman 5th April 2009 11:15

I think it's possible to pinmod to 400FSB with some creativity :)

Massman 5th April 2009 11:22

2 Attachment(s)
BSEL modifications for 5100 series:

BSEL modifications for 5200 series:

266 and 333 pin are the same, so I guess 400 pin will work too :)

Gamer 5th April 2009 11:25

Meaning ?
Been a while since I pinmodded something.
So I bring my rear window repair kit back up ? :)

Nope, the 5100-chipset doesn't support 400MHz FSB. You can try to overclock using Systool or SetFSB: for a lot of s771-boards the ICS932S401EGLF clockgen is used.

Offcourse you can run every benchmark to score some HW-points. But there won't be any global points in it, even not wPrime: 2 dualcores will perform like a quadcore.

No, insulating a land, like

blind_ripper 5th April 2009 17:12

playing with Abit IX48 GT3: 500fsb testing 32m PI stock voltage's :D.
