Dremel is for sissi's, i use a professional hacksaw (on an unprofessional way of course). One 120 mm at the front bottom, two 80mm at the top-back, ... only have to make 1 hole. Or i could place a koolance on top :D

Talking about narrow, try fitting in 3 HD + Floppy + 2 CD + casefans in the Chieftec DX-01W. No room left and too hot if you like silent pc's like i do. I'm happy it runs at 51°C stressed. Changing the mobo takes 1,5 hours as you have to remove everything.

The chieftec midi tower is a little bit smaller then the Chieftec, got 6 HD's in there + CD / Floppy =)

some room left still for 1 CDrom, great cooling, but is deeper I think

the prices you see on the webpages are the final ones. The dealer prices are alot lower, the Silentmaxx.de core bizz isn't selling as a webshop, KM.de = yes

maybe they bought a big lot of those Black cases at a low price =)

Looks like a good solution.
Case is not expensive, looks sturdy, has a removeable mobo-tray, room for 4 80mm casefans, depth is OK, no modding or extra's required and should be silent according to 4 "big" german PC-magazines.

Buttugly though

I noticed two versions. One with 2 fan holes on the removeable mobo-tray and one with 1 fan hole at that position.

I'll do some measuring tonight to see if the 2,5 cm depth-difference with the current Chieftec is sufficient to put it in the furniture straight. If it's OK i'll order one.

As there are more fans and as this case is higher i presume the airflow and temps will be better then that of the Chieftec. Even if the dampening mats will increase that temperature.

Why don't you build your pc into the wardrobe without a case ?
Put some noise pads at the bottom, side and back, cut some plexi at size for the front (removeable), drill a hole into the back for your cables and psu airflow out.
I did this in my desk. Works fine.

Cannot drill in wardrobe, period. It has to be in a case, selfmade or not.
Already done "building my own pc-furniture", with succes.

I regret not having the time to customize it completely.
