I'm a bit afraid to do something wrong, because it's in english. The english itself isn't a problem, but I'm "safer" when I read it in dutch and then try to screw up my pc :)

So help me out there Mavke :)

English :
Depends a bit on what you want flash and to which BIOS...
You should be able to flash your Club3D FX5900XT to as Asus FX5900 Non Ultra of Ultra...

Dirty Harry 2nd February 2004 23:06

Aangezien de ultra niet zal gaan, dan maar de gewone fx5900 :)

I recently bought a Club3D 5900XT (green PCB)(actually bought a new PC). I begon to get artifacts at 720MHz memory speed with 3DMark03.

First I flashed a POV5900XT bios on it. No problems at all. Now the memory worked better, 730MHz and no artifacts and the core was going to 460, pretty well i thought. This was just a quick test cause i was testing my rigs OC potential. PS: The temp. readings are incorrect wit the POV bios.(maybe cause the POV XT doesnt has temp diode :p)

Well I had some problems with NB cooling so i had to dissamble my PC.(damn NB is *dutch*krom*dutch* as hell :p).
Now the problems started, when i booted back up my screen was totally ****ed upped, the letters were going from top to down like the matrix screen(but in white :p).
No boot in Windows either, luckily made a backup bios so putted back the original bios in.
Currently the POV bios doesnt work at all :(

I also tried to put a Club3D 5900NU bios in it, no boot into windows!
Then a XFX 5900NU bios, got in windows with a black screen only :s
Tries also a couple 5900/50 Ultra bios, no luck.

Thats my story :)

Maybe somebody can send me an asus 5900 NU/U bios or other A-brand XT bios. mail to elia AD skynet DOT be

PS: i also have problems keeping the overclocked core speed. I set the core at 450MHz with rivatuner, start 3Dmark03 and the suddenly the bench stops(at a random game) and after a couple second it continues back on. Score and fps are also low now. After the benchmark stops I check rivatuner again and that my core clock has set to 376MHz. And I cant change it either again then, must reboot to do that :s
Anybody who can clarify this ??

when you are flashing BIOS's on your card from different manufacteres, you are bound to run it into "weird" artifacts :)

According to this dutch discussion site: http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/...ages/865522/0, the XFX is the best bios for the club3d with the blue pcb board.
But unfortunatly, the site is down I think :(
