Celeron D
ASUS P5K
Ram ****
7300GT, duh.
Seagate 160GB SATA

first run!!!

NO LOD, NO overclocking on VGA, simple Celeron D (single channel :rolleyes:)

jmke 21st June 2007 20:50

run at 1280x1024 4xAA?

if yes, my score is seriously bugged at <100

easypanic 21st June 2007 20:53

oops, normal config, damn :(

jmke 21st June 2007 20:53

make a screenie of the full detail shot as in BLINDs post

piotke 22nd June 2007 02:42

Seems like some people are forgetting the 4AA part :-)

easypanic 22nd June 2007 04:49

And the higher resolution :D

easypanic 22nd June 2007 19:47

CPU => zero effect

jmke 22nd June 2007 19:58

:excellent:

easypanic 22nd June 2007 20:02

This Celeron 331 is not too good for benching with P5K :D.

Lowest FSB setting: 200MHz => 200*20 => 4 Ghz :D.
It goes with 1.6V :D.

WR is 4890 Mhz, I could take care of that :D.

RichBa5tard 22nd June 2007 20:04

lol, a celeron 331 with a p5k... your mobo costs three times the processor. :D

jmke 22nd June 2007 20:06

hey EasP, disable AA;

Massman 22nd June 2007 20:11

What clocks?

easypanic 22nd June 2007 20:12

540/750 something I think, I was just testing cpu stuff :)

easypanic 22nd June 2007 20:45

Pfft, 640 core is highest on stock cooling :/ :(.

jmke 22nd June 2007 20:49

all cards are from the exact same batch, all serial numbers are successive, first ends in xxx01, last in xxx20 , it's really just draw from the hat this contest

Massman 22nd June 2007 20:51

Is the setup mounted in a case? What drivers are you using?

easypanic 22nd June 2007 20:57

93.71 , no case :D

45°C :/

Massman 22nd June 2007 21:00

Hm, try the 94.24, just to make sure it's not a driver problem.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_94.24.html

If you're getting the same overclock, you just have bad luck, I guess. On the other hand ... the temps are not high, so voltmods will be no problem with this card :)

easypanic 22nd June 2007 22:21

No difference :(.

3dMark 01 refuses to work now :(.

easypanic 22nd June 2007 22:27

Could someone test the difference between single and dual channel setups?

I'm kinda stuck with only one DDR2 stick :(.

Massman 22nd June 2007 22:34

It'll be little to no difference, I think :)

easypanic 22nd June 2007 22:43

1 FPS difference could mean nr 2 :D

Massman 22nd June 2007 22:51

I'll test it for ya tomorrow, but if +600Mhz cpu doesn't help, then I'm pretty sure dual channel won't help

easypanic 22nd June 2007 22:59

:ws::woot::naughty::thump::drink::*:excellent:

:thanks:

Massman 23rd June 2007 10:30

Hmm, dual channel gives me about 0.6 fps more, but I'm not sure whether this is just coincidence or not :)

easypanic 23rd June 2007 23:01

Easyripper took control of me again!!!

No more boot with P5K :(. As soon as I plug in the 4-pin 12V on the mobo, it makes a short circuit.....

I used it for two days damned...

:rolleyes::chop::whip::whip::whip:

Massman 23rd June 2007 23:02

Sure it's dead?

I have such problems with my DFI all the time. Today my rig suddenly shut down ... it took my a few hours to find out that the only thing I had to do was dismantle the system and wait a few minutes.

easypanic 23rd June 2007 23:04

Changed PSU, doesn't short circuit as long as that damn 4-pin connector isn't plugged in .

Gamer 23rd June 2007 23:14

bummer, we lost one contender.
Grr, did you use phase or something, maybe condensation that has to dry out ?

easypanic 23rd June 2007 23:18

No, only switched from Celeron cpu to Conroe cpu :(.

Air cooled, no other mods.

Still have my ASUS P5N-32E SLI PLUS to play, but I'll be very carefull....
And a P5PL-2 and a NLV (merom) motherboard, but they won't be powerfull.

Gamer 23rd June 2007 23:23

Bummer indeed, sorry about that Easyripper thing :p

CPU power doesn't matter :)

easypanic 24th June 2007 07:17

Indeed, but those boards don't have large BIOS settings...

easypanic 24th June 2007 19:29

:whip: myself :whip:

:shrug: Apparently I was able to bend some pins from the cpu socket holder. :-/

Straightened them and the old trusty Celeron 331 came back to life :ws: :woot: .

jmke 24th June 2007 19:32

when you chose your nickname several years ago, you sure made no error:)

easypanic 24th June 2007 19:35

Hehe; I got it from real life.

Well; odd things still going on. The Syncmax stick that was not able to boot suddenly acts again, strange thing is that dual channel sometimes does not boot. Separate sticks booting is no problem, tomorrow I will do a Memtest.
