Alu all the way
the only block I'll ever make in copper is a block that needs brazing
like a direct die block for phase change cooling

that block is a weird design, because I was thinking more about looks than about performance.
I almost freaked out when I saw the performance.
that block has 2 inlets and 2 outlets and keeps my processor just over 30°C when stressing. Roomtemp is something like... 23°C

so f*ck copper

alu is: - easier to machine
- I like the looks of alu better than copper
- less weight
- maybe a little less performance than copperblocks, but I bet I do outperform a lot of copperblocks with that b*tchass block...

copper looks better
and i have to say copper is not easy to file and saw. alu does.

about the preformance, f**ck premade blocks.

are you talking a small AMD 3GHz or a Intel 3GHz?

Would love to see a waterblock that can get an AMD over 3GHz

design is pretty simple, but effective.

ever tried a pin-design?
more coolingsurface

nope i didn't try that.
i don't think the 1cm² will make the difference. maybe i can try
i am talking about a A64 3000+ 1.8 ghz. i reached 2.85 so far but temps are a bit high.

about the design, its simple but if the direct die doesn't work that well(i hope it does offcourse) then i am going to close the center hole.

That's an outstanding overclock are you using your waterchiller with that?
because with just normal watercooling that is WICKED :d

And I think the centerhole will do it's job...

nope 2.85 was with aircooling but not 100% stable.
temps were like 45-50°
thinking with watercooling they have to be somewhere between 20-30°

i don't have a normal watercooling actualy.
some guys would agree to that

and i am still in the design fase of the chiller
