Default Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ SoCs compared to each other

Exynos 8895 vs. Snapdragon 835

Both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ will be available with two SoCs, Samsung's own Exynos 8895 chipset and Qualcomm's pride and joy, Snapdragon 835 chipset, and now, both of them have been pitted against each other in a couple of benchmarks.

In case you somehow missed it, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 SoC features eight custom Kryo 280 cores in two clusters, working at 2.35GHz and 1.9GHz as well as Adreno 540 GPU. The Samsung Exynos 8895 chipset also uses a similar configuration with two clusters, four 2nd generation custom M1 Mongoose V2 cores, ticking at 2.3GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores, working at 1.7GHz. It also comes with a different Mali-G71 MP20 GPU.
