 |  Panasonic comes up with an OLED alternative IPS Liquid Crystal Panel While the industry is falling over itself to try and get an OLED panel made cheap enough to make a profit, Panasonic has come up with rival tech. Its new IPS liquid crystal panel has a contrast ratio of over 1,000,000:1, which is 600 times that of conventional liquid crystal panels.
