okay

does it have a DV-i-link ? (Firewire) ?
if so -> get a SB Audigy and you can then import it through Adobe Premiere and other Movie editing software.

do NOT use the USB , it has indeed sucky quality, I never use it, unless I want to use the camera as a Webcam :-)

I use the Input on the R8500 AIW DV to get the image, at 7xx X 3xx it gives good quality and LARGE flicks :-)

sony has a s video out, A/V out and DV out.

use the composite (A/V out) and connect it to the Video IN on the vidcard, and the sound to the soundcard line-in (use a convertor pin )

doesn't work...
driverproblem ?

all hardware is present.

uhm what "doesn't work"

you should have software that can read the Video In from the videocard

mostly this software is bundled with the vidcard

download "virtual dub"
use composite to record
your hd's will get mucho load

play around with virtual dub

take a lot of time to learn everything, it's not thát simple

HWFaq has some good links

still same problem :(

could it be the vidcard-driver ?

40.72 doesn\'t work here.
