![]() | In the U.S. there are still "things" DYI can do to improve engine performance while meeting EPA annual emission test. 1) Add K&N filter to original size. 2) Re-program ROM on engine control chip .... changing MAP in certain areas such as fuel cut-off limiter setting; temp sensor in performance related setpoint etc. Just like BIOS setting. 3) Improve braking. 4) Performance suspension parts. That's why Toyota offer special performance racing parts with street legal in 49 States here. The same reason we, the car enthusisasts stay with pre-1973 sports cars because we could do almost anything on them. Cars old than 25 years are mostly exempted. As far as Insurance is concerned; liability is the only way to go; besides, it is more to the loss of personal pride than money when you crashed a Jaquar 1969 Roaster or 300 Gulfwing Benz.![]()

![]() | There are much more in dealing with Diesel cars than gasoline. For example - Exhaust braking.

![]() | The key is to own/buy the most popular tweaker cars. Similar in owning Abit and Asus boards in PC. If you own a HP board, nothing can be done. ![]() Edited - all the typos from morning sickness> ![]()
