Default On Father's Day

Here are three stars reflecting on parenting .....

http://family.msn.com/tool/article.a...fer=2&gt1=6657

One of the three flew back from Washington DC, another is local and the third did not show up. On this Father's day, we the three of us plus a son in-law will spend the afternoon drinking beer. My father passed away a couple of years ago, who spent many years in accounting and enjoyed the art of water coloring other than a self-centered guy.

What my father did not do for me, I tried to do with my kids. Whether I am successful or not, they are all adults now with good education and decent careers. What I am glad for whatever happened or not happened is the fact that I can talk almost everything with them .... drink, golf, boating, PC games etc etc etc.

We have no choice in where, when and what family we were born. It is our destiny for the relatives we have. Like it or not, they are part of our lifes. Drinking will begin in another two hours after I insist to pay Grand Mom a visit.

To the US readers, a Happy Father's day. Hopefully, I will be grand dad soon.

Your kids are lucky to still have you around Sid.

My dad wasn't perfect but taught me how to work, taught me that if something wasn't mine to leave it alone and if it was mine that I should watch over it. It was important to him that a man kept his word and if circumstances prevented it that a man will stand up and face the situation.

We had some good beer drinkin' afternoons together and I'm thankful for each and every one.

Happy Fathers Day...I'll be toasting you.

In a blink of an eye, it is how time passes by. Enjoy each and every moment now.

There will be disappointments which you will never remember.
