well, I cut an old phonewire up, it has thinner cables in case I would have to solder in very crampy areas...

i used old psu cables ( from the floppy connections ) they are just perfect

difficult?? I found it easy

wich one did you do?

this one. very small resistor :(. And soldering to ground didn't work, so I clamped it between the motherboard and the screw.

I found soldering to the resistor easy, with enough solder on the bottom of the wire, it almost immdiately sticks when you heat the wire.

with the ground I had some problems too, I found getting some solder on the screwhole first and then soldering the wire to that spot to be much easier.

I don't have steady hands :D

kristos 24th October 2004 23:46

and I do? :p

took me a couple of tries just because of the unsteady hand (no I don't have clips to hold the wire in place :)) but then i got it right. I had some major problems soldering to that mosfet leg or whatever that chip is. In fact in the end I fumbled the wire underneath, folded it back, twisted it together, tinned it and shoved some shrink wire over it (krimpkous). pulled it under the soutbridge sink to stop it from moving and possibly hit other naked parts of components.

I gotta plug this glue gun in and secure it properly :)

try this mod.

easy as hell and very effective

add with that a 3.3v v-sense mod on your psu, and then you can squeeze everething out
