I am running sandra 04 and the temp reading is about 5 degrees higher than on mbm5 dashboard.
for example right now

dashboard = 40 celcious

sandra = 46 celcious

one other question

is it ok to oc with fsb, since my muliplier is locked?

Gamer 25th December 2003 20:54

sure, more fsb = more speed.
it's always better to have a higer fsb.

since your barton is locked, your only solution is the fsb.
don't get to high hopes, max fsb is about 250 on AMD based mobo's today :grin:

whitemike 25th December 2003 21:01

what temp should i go to? it is about 46 now?

Gamer 25th December 2003 21:05

below 50° stressed is ok when you overclock your CPU.

your temp can go as high as 80° and still work, only it will not be stable in benchmarks.

whitemike 25th December 2003 21:09

so will case fans help with keeping that temp down?

Gamer 25th December 2003 21:13

always :)
