Default Amd bios settings article

Hi there i have been following the article on the main site to overclock my athlon xp 2600+ 333fsb processor.

while doing the 3dmark2k1 benchmarks they were running fine and when i was at 13 multiplier the score was about 13 or 14000. However as soon as i increased to 13.5 the tests would show much lower fps etc and at the end gave me score of 6000 lol thats like a huuuuuge drop?

What is the reason for this? is there a maximum fps that 3dmark2001se can check?

Also i would like to know what cpu voltage i should be stopping at before i take down the maximum mhz. thanks

check the v-sync setting, I had that too once and it too gave only 6000 points.

Sometimes when you overclock to much, you get strange things like that. Try to downclock a few mhz and retry.

computers and drivers are strange thing. Settings change w/o your knoweledge, things disappear suddenly, and sometimes, "I see dead links"

I've had it before that suddenly my v-synch was enabled and it did gave me ~6100 points (coming from 11000).
