Default OC questions

I have an P4S800 mobo (http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=P4S800&langs=01#)an a P4 2,4 Ghz.
I can overclock to 3.0 Ghz but i have some questions.

-In my bios support fixed AGP/PCI frequencies but the only thing i can set is the 'pci latency" is this the same?

-When i oc can i damage my hd (Maxtor 80 gig)? or loose date?

-And how can i see the pci/agp bus speed?

=> no

=> only get corrupt data on your HDD, caused by a too high PCI frequency

with something like WCPUID or sisoft sandra?

sisoft sandra *should* be able to give you the speed of your AGP & PCI port

it PCI is >33mhz then the "lock" aint there.

is latency timer the same as the speed?

pci:32
agp:255

so it is locked?
==> can't damage hd?

agp @ 255?
some misreading there I think

from where did you get these readings? and was your system running @ stock speeds?

PCI latency is something completely else btw : http://www.reric.net/linux/pci_latency.html

your readings are wrong. probably your PCI speed is 33 mhz, AGP speed is 2*PCI (66mhz)
