Conclusive Thoughts

Conclusion

Truly Coolermaster did it again. The design of the case is quite unique, with the parting doors which block most of the noise coming from the front. Surprisingly the doors? open/close mechanism is very sturdy. The buttons and connectors on top are a returning feature, seen on more of their cases, and suit the design very well.

The internal design is very good, with enough room on all sides. There are enough spaces to tuck away your excessive cables, to keep your ?look? clean. The retention mechanisms on the drives work great, and hold everything in place. Installing the mainboard is easy, and giving it the extra inch space between board and drive cage, makes managing and connecting cables much more easy, when compared to cases using a similar layout. And if you want to replace your board, you don?t have to remove all your cables. Placing and locking add-on cards is very easy with the single retention device, and more important, very solid.

The included 120mm fans are up for the job, and perform very well, at an acceptable noise level. The only problem I had with this case, is replacing the front fan. What an annoying job. I finally managed it, by tapping in thread, prior to installation. Then fiddle around with one screw, until it got in one thread, than the second screw, and so on. It took me more than 30 minutes.

If you are looking for a pre-mod retail enclosure with excellent cooling, easy installation and useful features this Mystique has your name written all over it.
