From the results you can see that, overall, memory size doesn?t have a noticeable influence. When comparing 250x11 vs 275x10 it seems pure memory speed is more important than lower latencies.

Half Life 2: Lost Coast and X3 Demo

Now with the real life benchmarks, some games. Half Life 2: Lost Coast with HDR enabled, all settings High, resolution 1024x768. Next up X3 Demo, again all settings high with resolution 1024x768. AA/AF was disabled for all tests.

While the benchmarks don?t show a noticeable increase in FPS when using 2x1Gb, these numbers don?t tell the whole story. While in-game frame rate was mostly the same, I did notice a decrease in disk activity when using 2Gb of system ram, and load times were noticeably reduced. 2Gb seems to be the sweet spot for current generation games.
