Installation and conclusion

Installation and conclusion:

ok, now the hard part: installing and wiring the kit up. Prepare yourselves for some drilling, cable-stripping and -cutting. For this review, I used the HDD"s activity led, but there"s nothing forbidding you attaching it to the LAN activity led. First of all, decide where you want to install the kit, take the drilling template, decide if you are going to use led holders (drill 4.5mm) or not (drill 3mm) and make the holes. Then just push the leds thru the holes you just made, there is no need for any additional support, et voila:

Now it is time to locate your HDD or LAN activity led and cut the wires from it. strip the wires for about 1 cm and connect them to the appropiate place on the kit. Then do the same thing for the power supply, you only need a yellow (+12v) and a black wire (-) from one of the molex connectors.

The only thing that"s left to do is adjusting the reaction speed for the read-out. You do this by turning the trimmer on the pcb left or right according to your personal favor; left is faster, right is slower...
And once again, I have no camera (come on boys and girls, help me out) so I just made three pics: little activity, medium activity and high activity on my HDD. You"ll have to imagine the leds flashing on and off yourself:

Well, this is all there is to say and show about this kit. Why should you buy it then? It is really easy to install,it gives your modded case just that little extra touch and hey, for this money you can"t even get properly drunk ;) The only thing that may bother you when buying this kit, is the manual: it is only available in dutch, so all you chinese speaking people may have some trouble reading it.

Oh, before it forget to mention it: keep visiting this site on a regulary basis cuz one day we might give a similar kit as a prize in one of our contests ;)
I"d like to thank the people from Melvine for making this review possible and I hope you enjoyed reading it!

A little update concerning the manual: I just got word from Melvine that an English manual is about to be released so there"s nothing left that can stop you from buying the kit now ;)
