Introduction Silent Box SBX-1000

Today we take a look at a retail solution from Scythe to silence your hard drive. It should be considered as a last resort after you have swapped other noise makers from your system like the VGA/CPU fan/heatsink, and the power supply.

The Silent Box comes with custom screws for fixing to the unit to the case; there are also gel pads which need to be placed between the Heatlane and the hard drive to improve the heat transfer. Extra power connectors are included also for SATA and PATA drives, this makes installation inside the case easier.

The manual is plain and simple with clear pictures and instruction, almost perfect, notice that I said, *almost*.
