Geil Mushkin OCZ - PC3x00 AMD-Intel Performance

The world has moved on, as they say. If you have an AMD or Intel setup and you want new low latency memory you have to start searching.. hard. The once widely available BH-5 which claimed the top spot in many overclockers? wish lists, is no more. In search for the next best thing we have here today a variety of memory modules which were send to us for review.

These GeIL sticks look more like the ones we are used to, the packing is also less fancy:

There are apparently two version of this memory going around, one of them has timings at CAS 2.5 6-3-3 @ 216 , other has a lower CAS Latency at CL2. It is all in the name of the product:

GL1G3500UDC = (CAS 2 6-3-3 @ DDR433 PC3500)
GL1G3500DC = (CAS 2.5 6-3-3 @ DDR433 PC3500)

As you can see, we received the latter. The Platinum heat spreaders have temperature sensitive sticker on them which changes color.
